Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation

Yeah, here I go again with this philanthropy shit. Can't help it, it's in my blood. So get used to it because there's going to be a lot more of it. I'm here to school y'all! :) It's never a bad thing to become socially aware of what goes on in our the community and what others are doing to contribute/make a difference. So check it! Russel Simmons (founder of Def Jam records) teamed up with a few other Simmons, Danny and Joseph to provide disadvantaged urban youth with significant exposure and access to the arts, as well as providing exhibition opportunities to under-represented artists and artists of color.

Currenty the organization is campaigning for an arts education and resource center thats scheduled to open next year in Brooklyn, NY. This East Coast based foundation needs your support. Interested? You know what to do.

"Art saves lives, it is that simple. Rush Philanthropic believes that if you give young people the opportunity to practice and appreciate art -- whether poetry, music, dance, or the visual arts -- then you will see lives transformed as young people learn to value their own unique voices and visions. It is this type of impact we aspire to see happen and that your support will make possible."

Until next time xoxo, Jaye of L.A. Bella
